My name is Megan, and I am a proud Métis person from District 4. This journey began not just as a creative pursuit, but as a deeply personal path to reconnect with my culture, my roots, and my spirit. Beading has become more than a craft—it's a way for me to learn, heal, and reclaim the rich traditions that flow through my bloodline.

Every bead I pick up connects me to generations of Métis beadworkers who used their hands to tell stories, honor the land, and express identity. As I learn more about my ancestors and the vibrant history of the Métis Nation, beading has become a bridge—between past and present, between who I am and who I’m becoming.
